Municipios of the Republic of Guatemala, 2018. Guatemala's 340 municipios as enumerated in INE's Censo 2018, from CONRED's administrative boundaries distributed by OCHA on HDX (COD-AB cod-ab-gtm v01, valid 2019-02-07). Join on municipio_code, INE's four-digit code (e.g. 0101 Guatemala); names are INE's census names. Two changes from the HDX release: its lake units Lago de Atitlán and Lago de Amatitlán are removed (no census counterpart), and its codes GT0206 and GT0207 are exchanged so that 0206 is Sansare and 0207 Sanarate, as INE codes them (HDX has the two codes swapped; INE's own lugar-poblado coordinates confirm it). Municipal lines are loose against INE's lugar-poblado points in places (about 87% fall in their own municipio). CC BY-IGO.
