Parishes (parroquias) of the Ecuador, 2022. Dissolved from INEC's 2022 census sectors on INEC's own parish codes, so it is the geography the Censo de Población y Vivienda 2022 was tabulated on. Each canton's head town (cabecera cantonal, code ending 50) is one unit; the urban parishes inside it are not separate units. INEC's census frame draws only the five inhabited Galápagos islands (Isabela, Santa Cruz, San Cristóbal, Floreana and Baltra); the uninhabited islands of the national park, such as Fernandina, Santiago and Española, are not drawn and have no census population. INEC notes that its statistical cartography has no metric precision and does not determine official political-administrative jurisdictions.
