High-tech export shares in Latin America and the Caribbean

The data reveals considerable variation in the proportion of medium- and high-technology in total manufactures exports among Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries.

At the high end, Mexico leads with 80% of its manufacturing exports in these technology categories. Only six countries have shares equal to or exceeding 40%, while nine countries, primarily in South America and the Caribbean, have a share of 10% or less.
