The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes employment and wage statistics on different occupational groups for the U.S labor market. This map takes a closer look at the occupational profile of Chief Executives across the United States:

• As of May 2022, the national employment for Chief Executives is estimated at 199,240.
• The average hourly wage for this role is $118.48, leading to an annual mean wage of $246,440.
• California reports the highest employment level for Chief Executives with 36,710 positions, and an annual mean wage of $275,040.
• New Jersey offers the highest annual mean wage for Chief Executives at $414,350.
